Sunswept 302

It was nice. We have stayed here before in a different unit. We love the convenience of everything. Wal-mart, liquor store, ice cream and mexican all are right across the street. All the local favorite restarants are super close. Property was clean, decor and trim work a little out dated and needs attention. But we loved it and would stay again.

Great condo! Tried a couple new restaurants! Love the area the condo is in. Very convenient for shopping and restaurants.

WE REALLY ENJOYED

I liked the condo,the furniture and layout,the view of the gulf accessibility of the beach. The floor of the condo was filthy.

This was the second year we stayed in this condo. No updates had been made and I feel the condo could use a little TLC. We had a good time but condo could have been a little nicer.

Our stay was enjoyable, the front office staff is friendly, accommodating,and always willing to help. The problem I had was the cleanliness of the room. I noticed alot of dust (mostly on fans & vents) I understand it's difficult to check on the work done by cleaning staff however if nobody addresses the quality of work then changes won't happen. It only takes a little time to do a little extra which makes a difference to visitors. My family always loves coming to this resort but do hope some consideration is taken to my concerns. Thanx

The location is awesome. The unit needs to be updated and deep cleaned. Broken tiles in the bathroom, ice maker didn't work, washer & dryer were difficult, we had to fix the sliding glass door. We stayed in a different unit at this condo the year before & it was awesome. Would recommend the condo - just not the unit.

Great views and location

Our experience when it comes to the condo was not good. The condo was dirty. There was a hole in the wall when you walk in. The washer was broke and never fixed during our stay. It leaked water all over the floor. The balcony door was broke and the patio was disgusting. Being dated is fine but the fact the it was dirty is preventable. The actual location is perfect! The beach and view is amazing. The pool at this location was great and well maintained by a very nice gentleman. A good deep clean could make this condo so much better.

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Sunswept room 302. It was a great experience both times. Wonderful location and beach is awesome as always. Not a very busy complex so elevator wait times aren’t bad and the beach isn’t as crowded as it could be. We love the fact that Walmart and other stores are very close for those items we need that we always forget. I traveled with my husband 5 year old and 8 month old baby. No complaints. We will be back!

Was not provided Parking Passes per agreement. Had to deal with Security during whole stay with not having parking passes and even when did what emergency maintenance guy (only one return calls) and have threats of being towed or booted. then housekeeping did not knock before using their key to enter until an hour before check out time. The safety of the exterior door integrity already in question, along with the bathroom doors locks not functioning. All you needed to do was push on door and it opened. Power outlets not working even when the wall switch was turned on.

We had a wonderful time at this location! The condo was clean and exactly what we expected based on the description. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the beach is just steps away from the condo. Local restaurants and shopping are within minutes. Walmart and Publix are right across the street. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

This condo had everything we wanted and needed to have a great time in Orange beach. My wife and I love to cook and we had all the necessary items to make great meals for our family. Loved the view, the location, the pool and Most importantly The rooms were large, nice and clean. My only criticism is that it could use a touch up paint job, especially on the front door, it’s truly an eye sore. When I come back to Orange beach I’ll be sure to come back to this location.

We love the Sunswept complex! This condo had a great view of the gulf! Unit needed some updating but as a whole it’s a great place to stay. Property management staff is super nice & very accommodating!

The rental was perfect for what we needed!

Location was great as was the view. Unit was very dated and in need of repairs. Broken tiles in parts of flooring. HVAC vents all dirty and rusted. Not kid friendly as there was too much glass in and on furniture. Couch was old and could have used a good cleaning or really just replaced. Recliner cheap and uncomfortable. Throw rug under coffee table worn and filthy. We bought a new one and left it there. We brought our 3 grandchildren and didn’t want them on a dirty rug. Doors and windows didn’t work properly or at all. Filthy windows. Coffee pot leaked and other small appliances old and cheap. The decor didn’t match at all. Very disappointed. At the last minute, our prebooked condo was canceled due to repairs. We had 2 days to find one and this was one of a very few available last minute. I suppose the price was okay for what we got. We asked the property manager if it was a dump and her response was”no”. Well it was a dump.

The property management was great! They were helpful with the reservation, organized, and tended to those things we needed immediately. The location of the unit was easy to get to, had a great view of the beach and the pool area. The community was quiet, but you could still hear movement from the unit above and beside you. Location to all dining & shopping was within 15 min and easy to get to. The beach was in great shape -clean, soft white sand. There were a couple things that personal preference did not care for... the Q bed in 2nd bedroom was hard as a rock and creaked/shook back-n-forth as you rolled in the night. The couch & rug in the LR could use a cleaning (or at least a slip cover). We did not use the pull-out bed, but based on the age of the couch, and how you kind of sink in to it when you sit, I would guess it's not that comfortable. There was a moisture/rot issue above the HVAC closet (mgmnt was informed), mirrored wall could have been cleaned better, but wasn't a big deal for us. Overall, the unit enabled us to have a cost-efficient vacation for a few days, in a family-friendly beach town/unit.

only negative is that the tree was in direct view of the beach, if that wasn't there it would be a perfect view to look straight ahead.

Very enjoyable, location, location, location

Sunswept 302 was nice and clean in a perfect location. Wonderful place for mature adults! Very quiet. The condo itself needs some attention. Several plugs to not work. Balcony light and lamp in living room needed bulbs. Air conditioner was extremely loud when it cut on. Hall bathroom sink drained slowly and a rusted screw fell out of overflow cover in hall bath. Updates would add value to this property.

A very pleasant place to stay, quite and right on the beach

Very easy checkin and checkout. Condo was in a great location for us. Beach access was great. Pool was very clean.

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Sunswept 302. The pool was large and clean, with an actual deep end instead of the usual 5-6ft deep. The property was fairly well maintained, right on the beach and quick access to local areas. Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable and the recliners in the living-room area were fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

The floors were not clean nor the balcony. The rug in the living room need to throw away it just grouse.....if you clean things up I would consider coming to stay again, but I would look at the room first.

A good time with family!

Overall stay was Great. Location allows easy access to everything. Dated but a nice condo. Patio furniture is very rusted as we ruined a tshirt and a new pair of trunks on day one. This has been mentioned in previous reviews. I should have remembered. Sliding glass doors were not cleaned and windows were dirty. Of the 6 table lamps, 4 did not work and 1 had no bulb. Went to the office to get bulbs. My first experience in a condo with no deadbolt or inside safety latch. Nice couch and recliners. Comfortable beds. Quality TV's
Nice well maintained pool and surroundings. Easy access to beach. Ample parking and fast elevators. Noticeable night time security. An enjoyable vacation but very expensive for the facility, Based on many other complexes we have used. My comments are in no way meant to deter renters. They are meant to be read by the management company, in order to address the issues for the next family. My Grade is still, based on location (The Beautiful Gulf) a B+++

We stayed in room #302 from late June until July 5. Overall we were satisfied, but for the price this unit could use some updates.

CONS:
--The patio furniture is rusted to the point that we had to put beach towels in the chairs to keep from getting rust stains on our clothes.
--The sofa bed is NOT AT ALL comfortable! Even my 10 year old complained.
--The kitchen pots/frying pans are AWFUL.
--At least two lamps (1 bedroom/1 living area) didn't have bulbs.

I'm sure in a rental it is difficult to keep things nice/in good shape, but these areas could definitely use some attention.

PROS:
--Love the location.
--Nice big pool.
--COOL/COLD air conditioner!
--Security guard on duty at night.
--Office staff/maintenance is very responsive. Our smoke alarm did not work, and once we reported it, someone was there within an hour or so to fix it.
--Washer/Dryer

The room could have had all the electrical problems fixed, and a little cleaner. But overall we had a blast!

It was good of other than the toilet in one bath had no plunger and we had to go looking for one. When we arrived, there was no sheets on the king bed in the master bedroom. The sheets were thrown up on the vanity in the room along with the comforter for the bed. As a paying guest, I would prefer to have not put the sheets on my own bed while I'm on vacation! The towels and rags were folded and put in top of the toilet and were not hung up!! Other than the lack of the cleaning service lacking, the room was nice and we enjoyed our stay!! The location has always been a plus in the past but they put in a u-turn system and you have to go way past the condo to get in and out!!

This was a very relaxing vacation! The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. The condo was nice and the property is well maintained!

Overall, our stay was wonderful. Great location for families with small children. East access and short walk to the beach and pool area. My only complaint would be the temperature in the elevators. It was always so HOT in there!
