Sunswept 701

the condo is older than some but was still nice for 5 people. the location was great for groceries, etc. it was very nice having someone on location to speak to about any issues that we had about the condo.

Air and fridge worked great!! Wicker furniture was surprisingly comfortable. Beds comfortable but squeaky. Master bath had step up to tub and toilet. Inconvenient for seniors with no rail. Jakuzi tub but no stopper so couldn’t use. Bedroom furniture needs updated. Balcony furniture was great! Plenty of seating and two lounge chairs

The location of this condo is outstanding. Facility and condo was clean with the pool area being exceptional. The condo had some minor issues ( exhaust fan not working and television issues). Warning: Condo only allows 2 vehicles for 3 bedroom condo and we had to rent a parking space at another site or risked being towed.

The good...Sunswept is a great location. Parking was no issue. Pool was great. Condo view was beautiful. It was nice having 3 full baths. Short walk to the beach.

The bad...dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Only 2 burners on the stove worked. Some dishes and mugs were cracked and glued together. We used paper plates all week. Patio floor needed to be cleaned. No extra linens or towels. Tried to find a pillowcase for extra pillows...none to be found. The condo needs a deep cleaning and simple updates.

We would stay at Sunswept again, but not in this condo.

Loved this condo. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The biggest thing that we loved was the location. Right on the beach, and directly across from Walmart. So it made it super easy and convenient to just walk across the street if we needed anything and didn’t feel like driving. The condo was clean and we had more than enough room for the 5 of us. We hope to come back again!

We had a great week at the beach. No major issues in the condo. Wifi is sometimes spotty in this room, especially on the balcony.

The condo was nice. We have stayed in several condo’s at SunSwept and 701 is very nice.

Great location. Some downfalls were cleanliness, burner on stove didn’t work, 1 bedroom fan didn’t work 1 stopped working, bathroom vents didn’t work, dryer didn’t dry well, and black mold on a register vent in dining room/ living room.

Floors were not very clean, couch and table had been moved and not put back. There was a bed skirt on the bed that was just half attached.
The location is great, except for the U turn lanes that have been put in. You have to drive past the condo about a mile, make the U turn and come back.
The people below us were up at 3:00am and very loud, enough that we couldn’t sleep. There is plenty of parking and nice carts to get your luggage to your room.
The pool and pool area was my favorite thing about this place!! Very nice!!

We loved orange beach and will go back again. We will not go back to unit 701. Very old and outdated. To much stuff everywhere. Closets were full of furniture and other stuff. Not one empty cabinet. Even the pantry had stuff in it. Needs to be cleaned up and updated. Step up to toilet in master bedroom was out of control. Older people would never make this. Needs so much help.

Great older condo, fairly nice furniture. The dryer in the unit was terrible, needs to be replaced. It squeaks very loudly and does not dry well. There should be a table on the balcony. You can’t sit out there as a family because there is no table, that was disappointing. The two lounge chairs are basically useless because they were wet half of our stay and take up half the balcony. The rooms were good sized and having a bath for every bedroom was wonderful. Great quiet location that is geographically close to EVERYTHING; that was very nice. Great pool, even has a deep end! The HOA was very attentive to everything. With a little TLC this condo would be PERFECT!

We were disappointed in this rental. The living room furniture is very uncomfortable. We had two issues that were resolved, but added to our disappointment. First the toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was completely unhooked. Whoever cleaned the unit should have found that and it should have been resolved before guests arrived. The second was that the refrigerator was not working properly and had to be replaced, but it was 3 days into our stay before it could be.
We will not stay in this unit again, but do hope to return to Sunswept again next year.

We had a wonderful time even though the weather was cold. You provided a great place for our girls trip.

we do realize we were there 3 weeks after hurricane sally ravaged orange beach. when we checked in on thursday the quest tv didnt work quite right and the right front burner on the range and the disposal did not work. the living room window was cracked im sure from the hurricane but no big deal. the cupboard that hold the dishes was near falling off the wall, we let the front desk know right away of the problems but hey said the maintanence man was off till monday because of a wedding. I found a breaker off which fixed the burner and disposal, and we left 2 days early because another hurricane was suppose to hit on thursday . the maintanence man never showed up. the place has great location and awesome view. needs updating. it was an average place.

We stayed in this building to be near our daughter and grand daughter. We chose this particular unit because of the large corner balcony with a great view. Unfortunately, the Two lounge chairs on the balcony, which took up a large amount of space, were unusable because of the filthy cushions which we could not remove. They were tied to the chairs with rope! The same kind of rope that was used to open and close the sliding door! This unit was very dated and run down. Only one dingy light bulb lit the whole master bedroom. The master bathroom was dark and dirty. We used the other bathroom instead. Sketchy internet. This whole unit needs a major remodel and update. I can not recommend it.

Clean and comfortable for our group of 7. We stayed for a week and there was more than enough space for our group of 7 adults. Plenty of space to gather and get space when needed. Beautiful view!!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. TV in the Common area of the unit did not work, and they were very quick to respond and set up a replacement. Overall stay was great, however the unit is very much In need of a renovation.

Pro: Excellent location for groceries, several restaurants, variety store, and great full beach view off the balcony plus direct proximity to the beach. Pool area looked fine. Had the necessary silverware and cookware to prepare meals. Linens adequate.

Cons: Furnishings need to be updated. When we first arrived we had to switch the circuit breaker to get power on in some parts of the kitchen. Need higher wattage bulbs in the living room and bedroom lamps. Property description was reasonably accurate except in the master bath there was a step up to get to the stool and bath tub. Be careful not to stumble when you leave that part of the bathroom.
Shower current and rod in the master bath need to be replaced. Bedspreads need to be improved. We replaced the bath mat in the master bath due to mold. The handle on the balcony door has a rope to open and close rather than a handle. Gap in the bottom of the front door. Would be nice to have a workout room and better bike racks. Deck railing needs to be painted or replaced. Difficult at times to turn onto the street from the driveway.

I would recommend this unit with some reservations because of the issues mentioned above

Rental was very clean and roomy and had all the amenities needed for a vacation away from home. Great location.

My only complaint would be is when the cable and internet went out I contacted the leasing office and the man working informed me it's my responsibility to call Centurylink and get it fixed . This was clearly a owner issue and a guest issue .

we have been staying at Sunswept for years we had a wonderful time as usual but I was very disappointed
in 701. furniture is very old popcorn ceiling in bathroom was peeling and a terrible odor in the unit when we arrived. We will be back but not to 701

We completely enjoyed family time there at Sun Swept.
The beds were comfy and loved the 3 baths for timely lean up for dinner out.
Would and have recommended to friends.

We have stayed at Sunswept for about 20 years. We found our condo to be clean with all appliances working and we had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Our view was perfect and the weather was great!

We stayed in until 701 at Sunswept and loved it. It was nicely furnished, the ac worked great, the ice maker kept up with our group, we were very satisfied. Would definitely go back and rent this unit.

Weathered tropical storm Cindy but the property and location made the stay a pleasant one

It was perfect for what we needed! Very spacious. The balcony was much larger than expected, everything worked out very well with the condo I would recommend it to friends and family for sure.

The shower curtain in the master bathroom had mold on it. The mircrowave was dirty, as well. The sliding glass door to the balcony was difficult to use, as the handle was broken, so there was a rope to open & shut it.

Love the Sunswept. I have been staying here when I visit the coast since the 80's. This property is very well managed. The location is great. Just about everything you might need is within walking distance and there is a traffic light at the entrance. The condo we occupied had many amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. With the location right on the beach, what more could one ask for? We all agreed that we wanted to return again as soon as possible!
